i. The books I read this month (not all in entirety). A special spot for Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, for it made me write, read, create, and live like I was on creative fire, and I needed that so much.
ii. The realization that after every practice of grounding, whether yoga, gym, cooking, reading, or naps, I look at myself different. A good different.
iii. Writing everyday without fail. Easier than I thought. Better with practice.
iv. Staring at the moon. Setting intentions to live by.
v. Painting on a plate (?). It was a delicate and absorbing act. One of love.
vi. Soups. Oh so many of them. From roasted cauliflower to one with coconut milk in it, to my fav this month: mushroom. And always, ramen.

vii. Getting to celebrate the Christmas I never had in December.

viii. Creative downtime with the girl friends.
ix. A warm thought that people dream of a future with me in it.
x. The literal light of my life, g.
xi. My twin nieces, absolute joy-bringers.
xii. Collating, curating, collaging. Calming.

xiii. Pink skies reminding someone of me. Tenderest feeling.
xiv. Liking carrots, to my child self’s disbelief. I actually turned em into soup too, and everything is good in soup form. Especially with sourdough. Exceptional.

xv. This creative affirmation:
xvi. My neighbour's’ new dog, Bruce, the floofiest tiniest creature.
xvii. Learning of things that were news to my brain: like the Irish myth of the selkies, who can transform from seals to humans; the Bronze Age, literally named for when bronze was discovered, tugged sometime after the Stone Age, when stone was discovered!?; and the Greek word for happiness—eudaimonia—which comes from "eu" (good) and "daimōn" (spirit or divine power), meaning having a "good spirit" guiding you.
xviii. Book shopping with my dear ree.
xix. Warm beverages in peak cold weather, sometimes 4-5x a day.
xx. The tv show: My Brilliant Friend.
xxi. Also the show: Shrinking. Both a tear and giggle jerker.
xxii. Cooking with soul family.
xxiii. Posting my writing not once, not twice, but 3x, and this one, the fourth. Thank you for reading.
xxiv. Dressing up for myself.
xxv. Writing gratitudes daily; barring two days. >:(
xxvi. Finishing a painting. When I described how I felt to my friend S, she said I was in a flow state. I’d like to believe her. I worship the flow state.
xxvii. Buying a book from the bookstore because of its title and cover (and, well, the synopsis was great—about a pawnshop where people come to trade regrets!) and immediately starting to read it. Not a hoarder.
xxviii. Compiling my coffee art that I’d been collecting for months. Photo sacredly reserved for an upcoming blog post. Excuse for you to come back!
xxix. A soulful banger playlist.
xxxx. Writing with community.
